Introduction

ANSCMS is the ANSCENTER web console at cms.anscenter.com.au. It is where an organisation (a ward, a school, a company) sees what its AI boxes detect and decides who sees what:

  • Events: every detection, with the time, the camera, the picture and the detection box.
  • Dashboards and reports: counts, charts, plate logs and daily summaries, with export to CSV, Excel and PDF.
  • Data and rules: the organisation's own data (for example students and classes) and rules that react to events, such as an alert when a weapon is seen.
  • Administration: members, sites, branding, security and support access.

Boxes and the cloud

The AI runs on the box at your site, not in the cloud. You set up cameras and AI tasks on the box with the ANSMIND app. When a task detects something, the box records the event locally and pushes a copy to the ANSCMS cloud, with a resized picture when images are switched on.

A box sends its events to the cloud using an ingest key, a secret that belongs to one organisation. See Connect your boxes.

Organisations, sites and applications

  • Organisation: your customer account. Everything in ANSCMS (boxes, members, events, pages) belongs to one organisation. One person can be a member of several organisations.
  • Site: a place inside the organisation, such as a campus, a building or a ward area. Each box is placed in one site, so its events carry that site. A member can be limited to one site.
  • Application: a product enabled for your organisation, for example ANSMIND (camera events for a ward or a building) or ANS Campus (a school). Event pages, dashboards and reports live inside an application. Applications are enabled by ANSCENTER.

When you sign in, you work in a workspace: one organisation, one application and one site (or All sites). The header shows it as a chip, for example "Kien An Ward · All sites".

To change it:

  1. Click your avatar, then Switch workspace.
  2. In Choose a workspace, pick the Organisation, Application and Site.
  3. Click Open. Tick Open this workspace every time I sign in to make it your default.

Members and roles

RoleWhat it allows
MemberOpens the applications of the organisation and sees the pages, dashboards and reports shared with them. A member has an App role in each application (for example teacher or security). A member can be limited to one site, and then sees only that site's data.
Organisation adminEverything a member can do, plus the Admin console: members, devices, sites, pages and menu, branding, ingest keys, security and support access. Admins always see every page.
Org builderAn organisation admin who may also change the organisation's data model and rules (designer, rule builder, publish).
Org developerAn org builder who may also write scripts. Scripts are available on request.
ANSCENTER supportANSCENTER staff. What they may look at in your organisation is set by you under Support access.

Members do not see the Admin console in the avatar menu, and opening an admin address gives them "not found".

tip

Give each person the smallest role they need. Most staff are members; one or two people per organisation are organisation admins.
