Dashboards & reports

Dashboards show live numbers and charts. Reports are tables (a list of events, or statistics) that you export or print. Both are built from your events and live inside an application.

Dashboards

Members open dashboards from the application's menu. On a dashboard:

  • Pick the Period: Today, Yesterday, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, This month, Last month or Custom range.
  • Use the filter bar (Camera, Event types, Severity) if the dashboard has one.
  • The dashboard refreshes by itself. "As of …" shows when the numbers were read; Refresh reloads now.
  • A count shown as "N+" is capped: the real number is at least N.
  • Preparing statistics… means the daily figures are still being built, for example after a time-zone change. The page fills in by itself.

Members see dashboards read-only. A member limited to one site sees only that site's numbers.

tip

"Today" and the days of a month follow the organisation's time zone. An organisation admin sets it under Organisations → the organisation → Overview → Statistics → Time zone.

The dashboard builder

Admin console → Pages & menu → the application → Dashboards.

  1. Click New dashboard. Under Start from…, choose Empty dashboard, Copy of an existing dashboard or From a template, then Start.

  2. Fill in the Key (part of the page address, cannot change later), the Title and the Icon. Choose the Periods offered, the Default period and the Filter bar.

  3. Click Add a widget and pick one:

    WidgetShows
NumberOne count for the period, with the change against the previous period.
Chart over timeCounts per hour or day as lines, areas or bars.
BreakdownShares by type, severity, camera, site or device.
Top listThe cameras, types or sites with the most events, or the most-seen plates.
Latest eventsThe newest matching events; click one for details.
GaugeA value or a percentage against coloured bands.
Camera mapCamera pins on a floor plan or aerial photo that you upload.
    TextA heading or a note.
  4. Select a widget to set its Measure (event types, severity, status, site, camera) and Display. Drag widgets to move them, or use the arrow keys (Shift + arrows resizes).

  5. Click Save, then Add to menu so members can find it.

Each save is a new version; Revert to v… restores an earlier one. Delete dashboard removes the page only; events and statistics are kept.

The Link tiles widget is a grid of tiles that each open a page in one click: a view, report, dashboard or data page of the organisation, or an address in the app. Use it for a "Quick links" block on a home dashboard, for example "Attendance today", "Students", "Leave requests".

In the builder, Add a widget → Link tiles, then for each tile Add tile and set:

  • Label, Subtitle, Icon and Colour (a theme colour, or Custom (#rrggbb));
  • Opens: A page of this organisation, or An address in the app. An address starts with a single / and stays inside the site, for example /apps/anscampus/p/students;
  • Visible to: the roles that see the tile. None ticked = everyone.

Tiles per row is Automatic by default. Members only see the tiles their role allows; the page a tile opens still checks access itself.

Device status

The Device status widget shows each box (or each camera) of the organisation as Online, Idle or Offline, from the last event it sent, with the counts on top. A registered box that never sent anything shows Offline. Use it to spot a box that has stopped sending.

In the builder, Add a widget → Device status, then choose:

  • the Site and Device (or All devices);
  • One row per: Box or Camera;
  • List: All, Only idle / offline, or Counts only, and how many Rows;
  • Online within (minutes): an event arrived this recently. Default 15.
  • Offline after (minutes): nothing arrived for this long. Default 1440 (one day). In between, the device is Idle. "Online within" must be shorter than "Offline after".
tip

A camera that only sends events when something happens (for example at night) can look Idle while it works normally. Raise the thresholds for such cameras.

More options: x / total, weeks, sessions

  • Number as "x / total": on a Number widget, turn on Show as "x / total" and choose a second measure as the total. The widget reads, for example, "120 / 152" with a progress bar: present / enrolled.
  • This week and Last week: periods from Monday to Sunday, in the organisation's time zone. Tick them under Periods offered in the dashboard builder or the report builder.
  • Split by Session (shift): a Chart over time of Records can be split by the session of the schedule, for example morning and afternoon classes.

Camera locations and the street map

Camera locations (Admin console → Camera locations) says where each camera stands on a street map. The street-map camera map and the plate route draw their pins from here.

  1. Pick a camera in the list on the left (Search cameras narrows it). Only cameras that have reported to the organisation are listed; "not reporting" marks one that has stopped sending.
  2. Click the map where it stands, or type or paste Latitude, longitude, for example 20.8018, 106.6312. Drag the pin to move it; Remove location clears it.
  3. Optionally set the Label on the map and the Site (default: As the box reports).
  4. Click Save. If someone else saved in the meantime, their version is loaded: make your change again.

Then, in the dashboard builder, set a Camera map widget's Background to Street map (the default stays Floor plan or photo). The pins show the same counts, and react to a click the same way, as on an uploaded image.

The route of a plate

Show route draws where a plate (or a person) was seen, in time order, over the camera locations: for example the path of a vehicle through the ward.

  • Open it from an event's details (any event with a subject, such as a plate), or from the Recognitions tab of a person's page.
  • Choose the Period: Last 6 hours, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days or Last 30 days.
  • The stops are numbered on the map (several sightings in a row at one camera are one stop), each with its time and photo. Click a stop to open its event.
  • Cameras without a location are listed beside the map. Place them on the Camera locations page to get the whole line.

Breakdowns by event attribute

Breakdown and Top list (By) and Chart over time (Split by) can use an Event attribute: a value the box sends with the event. Choose Event attribute, then the Attribute. For example:

Event typeAttributes
lpr.detectedvehicle type, colour, direction, lane
vision.vehiclevehicle type, colour, direction
face.recognizedemotion, gender, group
vision.identityemotion, gender
sidewalk.occupiedobject type

The list offers only the attributes that the chosen event types declare as dimensions. To break down by another attribute, the event type must declare it: ask ANSCENTER. These widgets read the raw events, so their period can be at most 31 days.

Mood gauge

The Mood gauge widget shows the share of positive values of one attribute, by default the emotion on face events: a school's "positive school climate" figure, for example. It shows the positive share as a gauge, the Positive / Neutral / Negative split, and the Positive share, last 7 days as a small chart.

In the builder:

  • Mood attribute: default emotion.
  • Value → mood: the defaults cover the common emotion labels. Customise to choose which values count as Positive, Neutral or Negative (case does not matter; values not listed are left out), or Use the defaults.
  • Colour bands for the positive share. Without bands: up to 40 % critical, up to 60 % warning, above that ok.

The gauge shows "No data yet" until the boxes send the attribute (for emotion, face events with an emotion).

Reports

Members open reports from the menu. On a report:

  1. Pick the period (and the filters, if any).
  2. Export with CSV, Excel or Print / PDF. Vietnamese text is kept in every format.

If a report is too large, the table shows the first rows and the export stops at a limit; it tells you so. Pick a shorter period to get the rest.

The Smart ward template includes Plate log (every plate, with picture), Daily summary and Most-seen plates. On a plate list, clicking a plate opens Where … was seen: the days, sightings and cameras for that plate.

The report builder

Admin console → Pages & menu → the application → Reports.

  1. Click New report, or start from one of your event views with From event view.
  2. Choose the kind: List of events (for example a plate log) or Statistics table.
  3. Set the event types and filters, then Add column… for each column you want.
  4. Click Save, then add the report to the menu in Edit menu.

Scheduled reports

A schedule prepares a report automatically every day, week or month.

  1. Open the report and click Email schedule → New schedule.
  2. Choose Daily, Weekly or Monthly and the time (in the organisation's time zone).
  3. Choose the period, for example Yesterday (the whole day), Today so far or Last week (Monday–Sunday).
  4. Choose the delivery (A link in the email is recommended) and the Recipients: members, organisation admins or a role. Only members of the organisation can receive it.
  5. Save. The reports list shows Emailed on a schedule, and Scheduled reports in the Admin console shows the Next email.

After each run, open History to see the delivery and download the file it prepared.

info

This feature may not be enabled for your organisation yet — contact ANSCENTER.

Sending the report by email is available on request. Until it is switched on for your organisation, each run still prepares the file on time ("Prepared" in the history), and you download it from History.

warning

Attached to the email sends the data out of the system. Plate numbers are personal data, so prefer A link in the email: recipients sign in to download.

Members cannot create schedules; the Email schedule button is for organisation admins.
